CORAS is built on a four-legged robotic chassis rather than wheels or a track, which is what lets it cross door thresholds, floor grates, drains, and the uneven ground along a fence line without a ramp or a modified route.

The configuration shown carries a sensor and lighting mast for day and night coverage, a manipulator arm, a swappable battery module, and onboard compute. Sensors are selected during scoping, so a housing unit build and a perimeter build do not carry the same hardware.

It runs the routes you configure, on the schedule you set, and reports into the systems your officers already use. Everything it observes goes to your staff, who make the calls the same way they do now.

What the system does on a route

Indoor patrol operations

Configured routes through housing units and corridors, run on your schedule, including the overnight rounds that are hardest to staff consistently.

Perimeter patrol operations

Fence line and boundary routes, covered with the same recording and reporting as interior routes.

Mobility and navigation

Legged movement across thresholds, grates, drains, and uneven ground, following the route it has been configured to run.

Audio and video monitoring

High-resolution audio and video along the route, live and recorded, in day and night conditions.

Inmate and medical emergency monitoring

The system watches for signs of distress and medical emergency on its route and surfaces them for staff review. Officers assess and respond.

Contraband and device monitoring

Monitoring for contraband and unauthorized electronic devices along the route, flagged to staff rather than acted on by the system.

Fence and intrusion monitoring

Perimeter fence and intrusion coverage as part of a configured outdoor route.

Where it is not the right fit

  • Any application requiring the system to physically intervene with a person. It does not do that, and it is not built to.

  • Facilities that cannot accommodate escorted access for installation and service.
  • Routes built around stairwells, until we confirm the stair specification for the platform.

What your purchasing office will ask for

CORAS is available for purchase or lease. Which one fits usually depends on whether the funding is capital or operating, and it is worth telling us which you are working with early, because it changes the shape of the proposal.

Pricing depends on the configuration, the number of units, the sensors your routes call for, and the integration work involved. We put the whole deployment in writing rather than quoting hardware alone.
